The University of Texas System has a tranformative agreement with IOP Publishing to support open access (OA) publishing. Through this agreement, all corresponding UT Southwestern authors can publish open access at no cost to themselves. (The corresponding author is the author who submits the manuscript and is responsible for communicating with the journal during the submission, peer review, and publication process.)
The agreement is effective from January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2025, and covers various article types (research paper, special issue, letter, and review) published in eligible journals. A list of eligible journals is available, and the UT System agreement includes the following:
