American Chemical Society (ACS) Publications

ACS journals are fully open access or provide open access options for authors under one of the following Creative Commons licenses:

  • CC BY — Permits the broadest form of re-use including for commercial purposes, provided that author attribution and integrity are maintained. Note: If you are funded by a signatory of Plan S, you may be required to publish under a CC BY license.
  • CC BY-NC-ND — Permits non-commercial access & re-use, provided that author attribution and integrity are maintained; but does not permit creation of adaptations or other derivative works.

The UT Southwestern Library's ACS All Publications subscription provides an APC discount for UT Southwestern authors in various ACS publications. Additionally, individual ACS members may be eligible for discounts. Authors should review the ACS Open Access Pricing page (linked below) for specific discount information.
