American Physiological SocietyStarting in 2025, the American Physiological Society (APS) has adopted the Subscribe to Open (S2O) model for their 10 primary research journals through their Journals Digital Library collection. For each year APS receives enough subscription support to transition to S2O, authors will not pay any article processing charges (APCs) for accepted articles for that subscription year, and those articles will be published open access.
Sufficient support was received for the 2025 subscription year. As a subscriber to the collection, UT Southwestern now has an open access publishing guarantee for corresponding authors to publish in one of the following journals:
UT Southwestern corresponding authors will automatically have their work published under a Creative Commons license, and their articles will be made open access at the time of publication.
