All articles accepted for publication from corresponding UT Southwestern authors will be automatically published in the following journals as open access (OA) with no separate article processing charges (APCs):
Cost avoidance of APC charges is made possible by Library funding of the publisher's transformative "read and publish" combined subscription model, and published articles will be covered by a Creative Commons license. In most cases, the corresponding author may choose between CC BY or CC-BY-NC-ND licenses.
† Every paper is published via the Gold OA route in this journal; therefore, there is no option for authors to opt out of OA publishing. However, the papers will be published OA without requirement for payment of any APCs if the article is eligible for OA under a "read and publish" deal.
