Research Help Guides

We hope to make Library services and resources more understandable and usable to campus faculty students, and staff by mapping them to the various elements of the research cycle. Library staff will work with clients to add value in their research context.

The Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) Guide was developed to assist you in identifying accessing, and using Library resources that support patient care, policies and procedures, quality improvement, and research initiatives.

The Responsible Literature Searching (RLS) Library Guide provides an introduction and/or review of the literature search process. It was developed to complement classes, tutorials, and consultation services offered by the UT Southwestern Health Sciences Digital Library and Learning Center (UT Southwestern Library).

The Systematic Review Guide describes the process of doing a systematic review and has information and links to tools and resources to help you with the various steps. This guide also provides information about the library's two tiers of systematic review service.

The Writing Guide covers the process, mechanics, and ethics of scholarly writing, including various citation styles.
