Health care practitioners in family medicine provide continuing, comprehensive health care for the individual and family and require knowledge and/or familiarity with the biological, clinical, and behavioral sciences to provide effective health care services. All age groups and genders are served by family medicine specialists as well as each organ system and every disease entity.
