AI and Ethics - Other Resources

Ethics of Artificial Intelligence | UNESCO

UNESCO produced the first-ever global standard on AI ethics – the Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence – in November 2021. This framework was adopted by all 193 Member States.

The protection of human rights and dignity is the cornerstone of the Recommendation, based on the advancement of fundamental principles such as transparency and fairness, always remembering the importance of human oversight of AI systems.

Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy)

The Stanford's Encyclopedia of Philosophy delves more deeply into the ethical issues that arise from AI systems as objects or tools made and used by humans. General explanations of ethical issues – e.g., privacy, manipulation, opacity, bias, human-robot interaction, employment, effects of autonomy – as well as ethics for machine systems are provided.
