Formatting the Paper Itself

The following formatting rules for the paper are strongly recommended:

  • Text should be double-spaced.
  • Margins should be 1" on all sides (top, bottom, left, right).
  • Recommended fonts and font sizes are: Times New Roman 11, Calibri 11, Arial 11, Lucida Sans Unicode 10, Georgia 11, Computer Modern 10, and similar.
  • One (1) space should be used after the period at the end of a sentence.
  • Use double quotation marks to introduce a new, specialized, or novel term the first time it is used.
  • The paper should include 4 major sections:
    • Title page
    • Abstract (may not be required on academic papers)
    • Body
    • References
